Sonny and I were having a relaxing day after a super busy weekend and we decided to take these funny pictures of Luke and Liam with his Mac. Most of you know how the Mac has settings that allow you to distort the pics- well here is what we came up with! I was cracking up at how they turned out! Here's what it would be if they both had a twin! I think everyone would be in trouble if this was a reality!!! These boys sure are alot of fun.

Benjamin & Esther visiting

This week Esther and Benjamin visited us and I had a chance to take some pictures of her. It was so much fun having them over and it sure did keep me busy. Luke seems to love playing with Benjamin and really, really loves talking with Baby Esther (i think he is ready for some siblings Christie and Creighton!! =)). He kept coming up to Esther with this huge grin and would say 'baby, baby'- it was so sweet. Liam was too busy crawling to notice our friends- he is a crawling boy!! He usually crawls commando (with his stomach touching the ground) but has recently been pulling up on all fours- it is so fun to watch them grow!! So, here are the pictures of Esther- 4 months old. i think they turned out soooooo cute!!

Funny things Luke says...

I know I told this to Christie and Ashley, but for the rest of you- here is a funny story about Luke's vocabulary and understanding of the word 'hot.' Lately at my house Luke has been speaking alot about things being 'hot' and occasionally 'cold.' Anytime I turn the microwave on, you can hear Luke from his highchair saying "hot-hot." Even if the item is just warm, he usually will not eat it unless I can secretly get it from the microwave to his plate without him seeing. With all of that said, the other day I went running on my treadmill while the boys played in the same room. When I got finished and was totally sweaty, Luke came up to me and said "cold-cold." Just for kicks, I replied back- "no Luke, Ms. Casi is not cold. I am hot. Hot-hot." Then, just as he does with his 'hot' food, he tried to blow to get me to cool me down. He cracks me up!

He did the same thing when I pulled his blanket from the dryer the other day. He just exclaimed, "hot-hot" and started blowing on the blanket!! It's funny what kids say and do. I tihnk they are way smarter than we give them credit!

For some odd reason, I enjoy walks more when there is a destination that you are trying to reach- as opposed to aimless walks around the block. Sonny and I had rented a movie from those overnight rentals in the Randalls stores (which is a great deal by the way- only $1 per night) and I thought the boys and I could make a trip out of me returning my movie. So, we loaded up in the stroller and walked to Randalls. I knew that Luke and Liam would like some kind of treat when we got there, so we went to the bakery and got Luke one of the free cookies that they give to kids (i hope that does not sound too cheap- i really do spend money at Randalls- too much money in fact). We then went to the sitting section where the coffee drinkers sit and Luke ate his cookie and Liam drank his bottle. It was a good outing for us and the weather was grand!! As you can see, Luke loved the cookie. Christie- I promise that I do not let him have too many sweets- just one every now and then!!

Little Liam

As yall all know, Luke and Liam are the happiest when we are outside. It is amazing! The world could be falling to pieces in the playroom but the second I mention 'outside,' both boys seem to get happy. This is Liam in the stroller during one of our many walks. We walked to feed the

ducks by my house and Liam was so content to sit in the stroller and watch (i think it certainly helped that he had a warm bottle, his pacifier and a blanket with him to keep him happy). He loves to just watch: people, cars, animals- you name it- he is interested! It is amazing to watch him grow.

Last Monday, Sonny and I took Luke to visit Sonn'y grandma. She has lots of animals so I was sure Luke would love it since one of his favorite books at my house is the animal book that tells you what sounds different animals make. So, we took Luke to see the live version of those animals. He got to see a bunny rabbit (which unfortunatly does not make any sounds), some roosters, chickens, cats and dogs. I think his favorite was the rooster because he seems to love to make their noises! It was so funny to watch him stand in awe of the animals. ps- Liam was not with us this day because his mom had a day off work and thus he stayed home.

Outside Finally!!

For a while we were prevented from going outside because the weather was so rainy. Finally we had a nice day and we soaked up every minute of it. Luke ran and played with balls while Liam was swinging in the tree swing. I did sit them on this blanket to take a few pictures and ended up having to make sure that Liam did not eat the grass. I have no idea why kids think grass and dirt will actually taste good, but I guess that's okay- I guess that's another boy thing! What a beautiful day it was.

Returning to Christmas...

Here is Liam around Christmas time. I could not believe how well these pictures turned out. I just propped him up against a present and snapped away! Yea!! He is such a lovebug- you just want to hug him all day! Here is Luke taking a nap. I could not resist the urge to take this picture! He is sound asleep with his bottom high in the air- diaper showing and all! This one might be good blackmail material for when he starts dating. I laughed so hard while taking this picture!! Luke constantly brings joy to everyone.

We had a play day with a good friend of mine, Benjamin. He and Luke play well together- they really love cars, dinasaurs, spiderman, and balloons (boy stuff!!)! We had so much fun. Liam is growing up soooooo fast. He smiles and drools alot =)! What a cutie!!

It has taken me a LONG time to update this and I am sorry. I just got a new camera (it was the back up for a professional photographer) and I am learning to use it. I really love the camera- it has some really cool settings. Anyways- here are some updated pictures on the sweet boys. They are both growing so quickly. As Christy and I joke about, Luke's new favorite word (besides "ball") is "no-no." It really makes me laugh because almost every time I tell him we need to change his diaper, he calmly shakes his head and tells me, "no-no." It is really hard not to laugh when he says it so seriously! Liam is moving around SO much! I know that he will be crawling soon and that will be lots of fun. He loves chewing on everything- new teeth are sure to poke through soon. It is so fun to watch him play and grow. Both boys LOVE the outdoors and though we do not go out everyday- I try to take them out a couple of times a week. This season of life has been such a blessing for me. I love watching the boys and I feel like the Lord is teaching me ALOT of valuable lessons for when I have my own children (Lord willing). I thank the Lord so much for this wonderful season of life.

ps- I did not let Luke play with ornaments for more than a minute or two. I just wanted to try and take a cool picture with him and some Christmas stuff. Just incase anyone was worried =)

Luke and Liam get along so well! They really love each other. Liam loves to laugh at Luke and Luke loves to make him laugh. It is amazing to watch. Here I thought we could try some 'posed' pictures. it was a good try, i guess, but the boys were too busy laughing with each other to focus on the camera. oh-well, i think the pictures are cute!

Messy Eaters!! Liam is now trying big people food and it is so cute! He is messy but it is sure fun to be a part of. Ever since I have known Luke, he has been somewhat of a messy eater- but he enjoys every minute of it. He laughs almost the entire time he is eating. In addition to the laughing, Luke is usually dancing in his high chair because we love to listen to Ross King's new cd. Luke will just laugh and dance anytime there is music! i am pretty sure he is clapping after a song is over- he is just so smart and funny! what fun!

Starbucks!!

Luke and I went to Starkbucks one day while Liam had to go to the doctor with his dad down the road. We had a blast at Starbucks! Luke was so good and since we sat by the door, he would greet each person that entered or left with a HUGE smile and laugh. It was so funny! I think we should send this picture to Starbucks and maybe Luke can become their next advertising model!? Babies and coffee- yea! (i promise i did not really give him coffee!)

Worship at Grace

Every Tuesday, the boys and I go to Grace Fellowship in Katy because they have live worship there. The boys really love the music and it is also refreshing for me. After worship we play with the Helbig kids. The kids all get along really well. It's funny that Summer and Hope love to try and hold Luke when he is almost as big as them! I love Tuesdays!

I absolutely love these pictures! I know these two boys are going to be such great friends. It is so fun to watch them interact. Liam loves when Luke 'talks' to him- it makes his whole countenance full of joy. Luke is becoming more and more gentle with Liam and I know that he understands now that Liam is a real person who definitely does not like Luke's finger in his eye (but does not mind Luke's finger on his nose or even poking his belly)!

The future little Aggie! We spent about 15 minutes trying to get a picture of Luke balancing this duck on his head- it was quite the experience. Luke loved the pop ice that he got to have after our walk. I don't know of any kid that would not love a little sugar water! All in all Luke is just a bundle of joy and fun!

i know some of these turned out a little dark, but I was trying to capture Liam's amazing smile and when the flash was on, the picture really turned out bad. Smiling is so fantastic!! I love talking to Liam and have his face shine with that cute smile! He is very tickle-ish (spelling) and that is so fun too! I feel like Liam gets bigger and smiles more everyday. Even when getting over an ear ache, he still smiles!

Luke is such a character! He is so full of life, joy, and many surprises. He likes using my treadmill as a truck track, he likes using oatmeal as hair gel & he loves using the walker to play his version of hide and seek! Not a moment is dull with Luke! He is so much fun!

When we were almost home from the walk it started raining... that was an unexpected surprise. Thankfully the stroller had coverings for the boys so only I got wet.

We are halfway through our first week together (the boys and I). I am learning their schedule and learning their personalities. They are both different and similar at the same time and I already love them both. They both love being held and I certainly love holding them. While Luke certainly loves people, he is easy to please and is not dramatic at all- he is very content. Liam is learning to smile now =) which is soooo cute, but he certainly lets you know when he is unhappy (with those lungs I would not be surprised if he becomes a singer one day!). I am learning to multi-task for sure- I can now cook carrots while holding one baby and speaking encouraging words to the other! It is almost like a game to me- how can I multi-task in the most effective way?!! I look forward to having them every morning and I am so thankful for this season of my life. I have been able to help Sonny more with the student ministry and I have had time to keep up with housework. The Lord certainly is a great Father to me- His gifts are so overwhelming!

This is my first blog. In August of this year I am going to start keeping two sweet little boys at my home while their parents work. My main objective in creating this website is to encourage their parents with cute pictures and fun updates while they are off at work. This website is also for family and friends of Luke and Liam. Since I do not have any pictures of the boys yet, this first picture is of me and my sweet husband, Sonny.
